RESEARCH, DESIGN & OUTCOMES | 2024 PDC SUMMIT

Health facility design is continually evolving to create new and better environments that prioritize the well-being of children, families, and healthcare providers. For the past two years, a group of leaders in the pediatric environment have been working diligently on a mission to dive deeply into issues that will help advance children’s hospital environments.

This session will highlight what the Pediatric Environment Network (PEN) members have identified as some of the most pressing issues impacting current and future children’s hospital design. Organized by The Center for Health Design, this network includes select leaders from top children’s hospitals, architect/design firms and health industry professionals.

In this interactive session, a panel of PEN members will unveil some of the top issues and strategies for improving pediatric health facility design, based on the work of this multi-disciplinary, environment-focused network.
