Besides her academic pursuits, Shilpa is a professional Carnatic classical musician, and a trained classical dancer reflecting her multifaceted talents and dedication to the arts. With a deep-rooted commitment to gender equality and healthcare accessibility, she actively advocates for the representation of women in design and architecture and strives to bring healthcare closer to underserved communities.
