Marvina Williams, RN, Lean Black Belt

Marvina is a registered nurse and healthcare clinical operations expert. Prior to joining Perkins+Will, she was director of a large emergency department where she was responsible for preparing budgets, staffing, evaluating and selecting equipment, writing and implementing policies and meeting regulatory requirements. She is currently a member of the Perkins+Will medical planning team specializing in healthcare design and planning. Marvina brings to the team her clinical expertise and operational insights. Her contributions consist of operational studies including workflow, workload calculations, patient care procedures, support services and staffing efficiencies. She understands the changes and demands that healthcare providers are facing and seeks opportunities to streamline processes to improve client and staff satisfaction. Marvina is passionate about patient care and the healthcare team. She enjoys serving as a bridge between the architectural team and clinical users. She is invaluable at sharing best practice information and helping clients understand the operational implications of various solutions. Marvina also loves being a resource for department directors and nurses as they prepare for transition into their new space.
