J. Davis Harte, MS, PhD, WELL AP

Dr. Harte is a WELL AP, wellness design educator and translator, who bridges evidence and practice through work in children’s places, trauma-informed design spaces and also in birth environments. She designs healthy, happy spaces and conducts research that moves the needle forward on human health, wellbeing and thriving. Dr. Harte is focused on social design justice, attention restoration theory, resilience, salutogenic design, symbolic interactionism, neuroscience and evidence-based design. Her work centers on the margins and on those who carry trauma. She co-leads both the Global Birth Environment Design Network and the Trauma-informed Design Society.
