Gary Collins, AIA, NCARB

With 30 years of experience in healthcare design and business development Mr. Collins has been involved with several top 10 healthcare design firms from leading major client pursuits to implementing projects organizing conferences and continues to structure his AIA/AAH Strategic Planning Forum at Health Care Design.  For six years he was the president of the Health Care Institute (an IFMA Alliance Partner) where he worked with healthcare Facility Managers from such healthcare systems as Kasier Permanente, Cleveland Clinic, MD Anderson, BJC, Northwestern Medicine and Boston Children's Hospital to name just a few organizing educational sessions presented by Facility Managers.  This experience exposed him to the challenges FM's from coast to coast were facing and drove the development of the FM session tracks to present these challenges and successes to nationwide audiences at major healthcare conferences.
 
Today as the Senior Director of Healthcare in the BSA LifeStructures Chicago office Mr. Collins is responsible for securing project opportunities and developing the young up and coming architectural staff to better understand the business of architecture both from a design standpoint and from a business standpoint.
