Curt Ostrodka serves as the Director of Smart Communities at VHB and is responsible for leading collaborative teams that address complex community and mobility planning issues, future-ready smart cities, community redevelopment, and healthy community design. He led the development of VHB’s Healthy Mobility Model, a quantitative tool to assess the correlations between land use, urban design, transportation, and public health outcomes.
With 20 years of urban and environmental planning experience, he focuses on using technology and innovation to make our communities more sustainable, resilient, and equitable. Curt’s projects, including the Parramore Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan, have won numerous awards from the American Planning Association Florida Chapter (APA-FL).
