Breeze Glazer, LEED, AP, BD+C

Breeze Glazer is a Principal and cofounder of lightstep, an interdisciplinary high-performance design consultancy providing services to design firms and facility owners to improve the performance of buildings. His knowledge of sustainable and high performance design and experience in leading complex projects is recognized in the industry. He has led, or co-led, the sustainable design and LEED certification efforts for more than 100 projects in his career, ranging from a 1200 sf office in New York to a 2 million sf hospital in Saudi Arabia.

Prior to founding lightstep he held various leadership positions for 10 years at Perkins+Will including; Research Knowledge Manager, Sustainable Design Leader, New York and the firmwide Sustainable Healthcare Leader. In these roles he actively managed the sustainable design and LEED processes on projects in addition to providing strategic leadership for Perkins+Will.

His research experience covers topics as diverse as the business case and material health and toxicity, alternative energy systems and climate change mitigation, often in collaboration with academic institutions and non-profit organizations. He currently teaches graduate level classes in applied design research and sustainability.
