The landscape of healthcare (and healthcare design) is ever-evolving, and poses opportunities and challenges for care providers, patients and communities, and designers of healthcare spaces. This changing landscape reaches far beyond typical healthcare spaces and into a myriad of care settings. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that these settings respond to complexities of care, are flexible to respond to fluid care needs, and offer equity to patients. 

To meet the needs of future care delivery, facility and care professionals have to advance their understanding of the key drivers that impact the care environment and learn how to incorporate the best and latest design solutions throughout all healthcare settings.
