Jim began his 26-year career at Steelcase in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He progressed in leadership positions throughout the United States experiencing business in diverse areas of the country. These experiences led to senior leadership positions at Steelcase. Jim then became founder of StelterPartners, CEO of Inscape, and President of Yulio. During this time, Jim focused on leading edge learning environments, new furniture applications to support office and education trends, and innovation in virtual and mixed reality spaces for the architectural and design market.
Currently, Jim is steering the course of Steelcase Learning, Smith System, Steelcase Health and Steelcase Small and Medium Business. These companies lead in the industry focusing on providing learning, health and business solutions for emerging environments throughout the world.
