About the Exam
- Download the Candidate Handbook.
- There are no prerequisites to sit for the exam.
- The exam is two-hours long.
- There are 110 multiple-choice questions, 10 of them are not scored.
- Passing score is 650 out of a possible score of 200-800.
- Candidates will receive their results immediately after exam. *Exam results may be delayed during administration of a new exam form to determine the new cut score.
- The testing and renewal administrator is Meazure Learning. Click here to register for the exam.
- Exam is administered two ways:
- Live Remote Proctoring (LRP) provided by ProctorU – proper internet speed and a webcam is required. Learn more about LRP test administration here.
- At a testing center (check test site cities here). Testing dates/times will populate after registering for the exam in the Notice to Schedule email and will depend upon availability of the testing center.
- Cost of the exam: $395 USD at U.S. and Canada locations. A $100 fee will be added to test at an international testing center.
- Exam application is good for one year from registration. Candidates have three attempts with a 60-day waiting period in between tests, otherwise a new exam registration is required at the full rate (retake fee is $255, if necessary).
- Cost of the three EDAC study guides needed for the exam: $275 USD.
