The Center for Health Design

HIGHLIGHTED EVENTS

Join Us for a Webinar and Learn of the Opportunities Healthcare Reform Provides for Architects, Designers and Facilities Managers

August 14, 2014
10:00 am Pacific/1:00 pm Eastern

Enactment of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) is transforming just about every aspect of healthcare delivery in order to achieve the Triple Aim goals of better care, healthier people and communities and affordable care.  One of the law’s most striking and fundamental change is the shift in reimbursement practices – moving from volume to value. During this webinar, Eileen Malone, RN, MSN, MS, EDAC, Senior Partner, Mercury Healthcare Consulting, LLC, and Ellen Taylor, AIA, MBA, EDAC, Director of Research, The Center for Health Design, will:

  • Summarize recent healthcare reform legislation designed to improve the quality of care
  • Describe the critical role for architects, designers and facility managers as the trusted advisors for facility design and management investments to help improve healthcare outcomes
  • Discuss the evidence linking environmental features and ACA-focused healthcare outcomes
  • Discover The Center for Design's resources and tools to enable performance improvement efforts
