Responsiveness and Adaptability of Healthcare Facilities in Emergency Scenarios: COVID-19 Experience


A 2022 study by Łukasik and Porębska investigates how different spatial layouts in an existing facility can impact emergency responsiveness. Researchers use the GAAT (general adaptability assessment tool) to determine that the preferred layout depends on the type of emergency presented (quarantining, high-volume surges).
