Caregiver Wellness: Supporting Clinicians Through Evidence-Based Design

Course Description

This session provides an in-depth review of elements in the built environment that impact healthcare professionals, care delivery and well-being. More than ever, healthcare professionals are challenged to care for patients at the expense of their own wellbeing. The impact of the physical characteristics of the healthcare professionals’ work environment has been elevated for critical examination and intervention. Presenters will discuss current research exploring the built environment’s impact on the wellbeing of healthcare professionals, and how design and healthcare professionals can leverage research to improve their work environment.
