The Functional Program Workshop:
How to Transform this Guidelines Requirement into
An Invaluable Project Planning Resource for Your
Next Construction or Renovation Project

Date: Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Location: Steelcase WorkLife Center
4 Columbus Circle
New York, New York 10019

 Registration:  $565

Recent revisions to the 2014 Facility Guidelines Institute Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities have raised the importance and necessity of the functional program from an optional planning document to a minimum standard, necessary for all hospitals and outpatient facilities undergoing new construction or major renovation projects.

In this insight-filled, dynamic and collaborative workshop, you’ll not only learn about the updated aspects of the Guidelines – including when the functional program should be conducted, updated, and revised; and who is responsible for its completion – but how to use the function program to ensure project goals for intent, use and function are preserved through all construction phases.

In addition, workshop attendees can work with The Center’s Environmental Standards Council members for real-world insights and guidance on how the functional program should be developed with an interdisciplinary team to achieve innovation, accurate cost estimates, and overall facility design goals.

More workshop information can be found here.

Workshop attendees are invited to stay for the
Health Design Insights networking event with
cocktails and hors d'oeuvres immedidately following the workshop.
